On 22 May 2025, Azot-2 OOO, the first resident of the Kuzbass Special Economic Zone, commissioned a modern environmentally friendly liquid carbon dioxide plant at Azot KAO, which demonstrates impressive results already at the initial stage of operation.
The production process is organised in such a way as to ensure uninterrupted supply of products to consumers, which is especially important in the summer period when demand for liquid carbon dioxide reaches its peak. Operation of the plant and shipment of products is carried out round the clock. The main consumers of high-quality liquid carbon dioxide produced in the shop are companies specialising in the production of carbonated drinks.
"The successful start-up and fast reaching the design capacity of the plant, as well as the coordinated and purposeful work of our team allowed us to produce a large batch of products in a record time. The achieved result is the first step towards ambitious goals. The next goal is to reach 100 thousand tonnes in the shortest possible time," said Evgeny Bulbenko, head of the liquid carbon dioxide production shop.
The planned scale of production will allow Azot-2 OOO to reach a new level by expanding the geography of supplies and signing contracts with a wider range of consumers.
"Our company has crossed another new milestone, we have received the FSSC 22000 food safety standard certificate. This is an international standard of food safety management system. It once again confirms that our production and our products meet the high requirements of food products. It also applies to the delivery of products to the end consumer. Today we deliver liquid carbon dioxide by transport of only trusted partners", - said Nadezhda Protasova, General Director of Azot-2 OOO.
Achievement of significant results in liquid carbon dioxide production testifies to the dynamic development of Azot-2 OOO and its important contribution to the economy of Kuzbass. This is an example of successful implementation of investment projects and effective use of modern technologies in the chemical industry.
