Azot KAO has developed its own lighting system

Azot KAO
Azot KAO presented an innovative lighting system of its own production, from design to production of industrial luminaires, ensuring economy and efficiency.

The project is based on in-depth analysis, digital modelling and in-house engineering developments. The team of specialists solves problems at the level of the world's best practices using the latest achievements of science and technology.

Within the framework of the project, having failed to find a suitable product on the market, the company created its own production of luminaires. The new luminaires reduce energy consumption and at the same time increase the level of illumination of working areas. Special attention during development was paid to adaptation of the equipment to the conditions of chemical production, including exposure to aggressive media and overheating. The developed luminaires not only have high lighting characteristics, but are also characterised by a well thought-out modular design. This provides a wide variety of models (more than four thousand) and high maintainability. In case of failure of an individual element, for example, an LED module, only the faulty part is replaced, which significantly reduces costs and saves resources.

"We consider a luminaire not as a separate product, but as part of an integrated engineering system, which allows us to achieve maximum efficiency and reduce overall modernisation costs. We strive to ensure that every unit of light coming out of the luminaire reaches the working surface," comments Dmitry Antonov, Project Manager of Azot KAO's Chief Power Engineer Department. - Initially, when assessing the replacement of outdated lighting at the plant, we were talking about billion-dollar investments and a payback period exceeding a quarter of a century. Thanks to our own developments, we managed to reduce the required investment five times and payback period to three years".

Azot KAO uses specialised software systems with digital twins that allow engineers to calculate energy efficient solutions not only for their own needs, but also for other companies. Today, the company produces about a thousand lights per month and is ready to offer its products suitable for both industrial facilities and road infrastructure, as well as office premises and other consumers.
