Preliminary design has been completed on the Ammonium-2 project and work is underway to prepare the design documentation. The estimated completion date for the construction and installation works is the end of 2027, Ammoni AO's press service told BIZNES Online.
Ammonium-2 will require about 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year as a feedstock. The production capacity will be 1.2 million tons of ammonia and 1.4 million tons of urea. The cost of the second stage of the gas chemical complex was estimated at €1.5 billion.
At year-end 2022, Ammoni AO increased its revenue by 25% (41.2 billion rubles) and net profit by 46% (14.6 billion rubles). The company attributed this to optimisation of business processes, reduction of production losses and time of logistics operations. The second stage of the modernisation of the existing production facilities of non-concentrated nitric acid and ammonium nitrate has been completed.
"All of this allowed the company to set a historical production record, producing more than 1.2 million tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers," said Ammoni AO.
