Mendeleevskazot, a subsidiary of Ammoni AO, made the decision to build after working with experts from the Regional Competence Centre of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The company is the only link between RZD in the transportation of goods for Ammoni AO and the Residents of SEZ Alabuga.
In 2022, Mendeleevskazot OOO became a participant in the national project "Labour Productivity". All processes were analysed at the benchmark site. Bottlenecks were found and losses in locomotive maintenance and repair were identified. The analysis showed that the locomotive fleet of the enterprise is growing rapidly (today there are 9 diesel locomotives in operation), and in the future the freight turnover will seriously increase due to the construction of the Ammoni-2 plant.
The new depot will make it possible to carry out maintenance and repairs of locomotives using the company's own resources and to cut costs of outsourced services.
It will create 19 new jobs. Construction is scheduled to start in April and be completed in November 2023.
