Azot KAO has successfully passed the certification audit for compliance with the international energy efficiency standard ISO 50001:2018.

The audit was conducted by experts of the international company SGS. During two months they familiarised themselves with the energy policy and energy management implemented at the enterprise. Among other things, they were interested in how carefully the plant treats energy resources, to what extent the management and staff are interested in improving the energy efficiency of production, and whether the orders and regulations related to energy management are observed.

"We got acquainted with Azot KAO's energy management system and were convinced that it has been developed, implemented, maintained, developed and fully complies with the requirements of the international energy efficiency standard ISO 50001:2018," said Alexander Nasonov, SGS's lead audit expert.

Based on the results of the audit, the company's energy management system was recognised as compliant with the ISO 50001:2028 international standard, and the company received a certificate confirming this assessment. Maintaining and developing an energy management system is beneficial for the company's economy and the environment: a careful attitude to energy resources helps to avoid losses and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, compliance with the international standard increases the competitiveness of the plant in the global market, causing an increase in customer loyalty.
Today Azot KAO has successfully implemented and operates two more international standards ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, national standard GOST R ISO 9001-2015.
