Azot Group held the first ever corporate contest among IT employees

The results of the first stage of the competition were summed up in Innopolis: the best IT projects implemented at Azot Group companies were selected and an educational programme with speeches by industry experts was held.

About 50 people gathered for the final round of the contest. Employees of IT services of the Group's enterprises from different regions of the country presented their projects: Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Kemerovo, Irkutsk and Penza regions.

‘Growth Code’ is a competition that aims to improve the competence of specialists, the overall level of digitalisation of enterprises, and the efficiency of production facilities with the help of modern technologies.

‘Of course, we have a global development strategy, but I think we have succeeded in attracting people with the help of the competition,’ said Vsevolod Bebutov, CEO of Azot Group. ‘The competition aims to awaken interest and the desire of employees to move towards digital transformation through individual projects.’

They presented 10 projects that have already been implemented at Azot Group enterprises. They shared their experience in implementing IT technologies in perimeter security incident management and notification systems at production facilities, application of artificial intelligence in document management, development of digital assistants, modernisation of transport logistics system and others.

"Well done everyone, quick to support the idea, conscientious about preparing the information. This is more than a competition, it is a way to develop our IT services. We will think about scaling the Growth Code, going beyond Azot Group," emphasised Maria Belyanina, Deputy General Director of Azot Group and the idea inspirer of the competition.

Each submitted project was studied not only by the competition jury. The participants had an opportunity to discuss them with experts of the sphere.

"What makes this contest stand out is that it is practical. All interesting ideas are not just ideas, they have a real customer and a real effect. It's nice that there was an open discussion, the guys got comments from professionals from their environment," said Dmitry Makarov, CEO of Ammoni AO.

‘Growth Code’ became a unique platform where specialists from different cities could meet together not only at lectures, but also in an informal atmosphere.

"It was interesting what colleagues live. After the competition, we are charged with a lot of ideas, we have already thought about which of the presented projects can be implemented in our country," said Mikhail Vatsyk, Head of IT Department of Angarskiy azotno-tukoviy zavod OOO.

According to the results of the competition in the nomination ‘Operational Efficiency’ the best project was ‘Automated Risk Management Console of the Internal Control Service’. It was presented by a team from Rost Agro Management Company. Project manager Evgeny Pokhilyi, Sergey Kovalenko and Maxim Kolyadin received the winner's diploma and certificates of 100 thousand rubles each to a digital equipment shop.

Natalia Gribenshchikova, Head of Digital Transformation Department of Ammoni AO, Anastasia Golovanova, Zoya Mironova, Adel Kashafutdinov and Raniel Bakhmetov were awarded the winner's diploma and certificates for 100 thousand rubles in the category ‘Specialised IT Solution for the Industry’. The chemical complex team presented the project "Implementation system for UAN-32 through New Fertilisers OOO.

Ammoni AO was also recognised as Azot Group's best digital enterprise and received the rolling Cup of the competition. Eight applications have already been received for the second stage of the Growth Code, and the final will be held in December. The participants will present ideas for new projects that can be implemented at Azot Group enterprises.
