Azot KAO representatives returned from a key industry event - the HSE DAYS 2025 forum in Moscow, where more than 350 experts from Rosatom, Gazprom, Nornickel, EuroChem and other industrial giants gathered.

Azot KAO did not just share its experience, but brought ready-made, working solutions that have become part of the safety culture at our enterprise.

Nikolay Denisov, Business System Director, was a guest speaker at the discussion platform ‘Balance of interests: efficiency vs safety’:

"Security and operational efficiency are not competitors, but allies. We start any improvement with the question: ‘How will this affect safety?’. Step by step, we create an environment where it is simply impossible to operate in an unsafe manner. The Top 1000 corporate training programme and tools such as line walkthroughs and behavioural audits (BBAs) have become standard leadership practice for all managers - from CEO to foreman."

The main novelties that Azot KAO presented at the forum were the pilot project ‘Risk Hunting’ and the Safe Workspace Business System (SWS) tool, which is now complemented by a monitoring system.

The results speak for themselves. The key safety indicator - the injury frequency rate at the enterprise - decreased from 44.3 in 2021 to 39.5 as of November 2025. In 2024, it will reach a record low for five years - 36.9. The efficiency is also confirmed by a threefold reduction in violations recorded by our occupational health and safety dispatch centre.

At the same time, Oleg Khrabrovsky took part in a meeting of the Association of Occupational Safety Directors. He presented two successful projects.

Oleg Khrabrovsky, Director of Occupational Safety: "The plant has implemented a project to equip 100 high-rise work sites with modern safety equipment. 88 million roubles were allocated for this purpose. Another reason for pride is the creation of a corporate training ground and the development of a training programme for safe work at height".

Expert recognition of Azot's achievements: according to the results of the HSE TOP-100 2024 rating, Olga Volkova, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Azot KAO, was recognised as the best manager in this area at the All-Russian level
