In the period from July 9 to July 11, Azot KAO held an audit of compliance with the energy management system, during which experts confirmed the compliance of the enterprise with the standards of international requirements.
Implementation of the energy management system based on the international standard ISO 50001:2018 in Azot KAO operations started in March 2022.
"The goal of our company is to save at least 3 % of energy per year. To date, we have achieved this result every year. In addition to purchasing measuring equipment, in order to improve energy efficiency, the company has developed and is actively implementing IT solutions aimed at optimizing energy consumption and transparency of the metering system. First of all, compliance with the energy management system will improve the company's image, keep in line with the energy strategy of the Russian Federation and reduce the consumption of energy resources of the plant," - commented Nikita Shkutz, Head of the Energy Management Group.
Based on the results of Azot KAO audits, the auditor issued an opinion confirming compliance with the requirements of the standard. The auditor noted the competent work of management and technical personnel and teams in general. Each division conducted a detailed analysis of its department, assessing the significance, goals and opportunities for improvement in the field of energy efficiency. No non-compliances were identified during the audit.
Thus, the Azot KAO system has successfully passed recertification. In order to fulfill global goals, the enterprise continues to analyze the consumption of energy resources and search for potential in this direction.
It should be noted that Azot KAO undergoes the energy management system assessment procedure voluntarily and regularly. An independent assessment according to ISO 50001:2018 standard confirms compliance with all norms and energy requirements at the production facility.
