1982

Decision to start construction

Under the Order of USSR Mineral Fertilizer Ministry No. 5670 dated November 3, 1982, construction of chemical plant was commenced. In accordance with the Registration Certificate No. 221 dated February 11, 1992, issued by the Administration of Mendeleyevsk district and Mendeleyevsk, the plant was reorganized into the state-owned enterprise Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant.
The plant project is developed based on the Resolution of the CPSU Central Committee and the USSR Council of Ministers dated October 19, 1981 No. 1019 and the Order of USSR Fertilizer Ministry dated November 19, 1981, No. 570 “On increase in production and supply of mineral fertilizers to agriculture from 1981 to 1985.” General designer of Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant is the State Research and Design Institute for Nitrogen Industry (GIAP), Moscow. Ernest Tarshis is appointed as Project Manager.
Construction of Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant is commenced. The enterprise facilities ans traditions have become a site for implementation of future Ammonium Project.
1983

Commencement of construction

On May 12, a meeting dedicated to the commencement of construction of Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant was held.
On August 25, Production Association Karpov Chemical Plant is established. It included two enterprises: Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant for Mineral Fertilizers and Karpov Chemical Plant. H. V. Moustafin was appointed as Director General of the Production Association.
1988

Becoming a part of PO Karpov Chemical Plant

Production of ammonium nitrate was started this year. The products have proven themselves in Russia and overseas.
1989

Production of ammonium nitrate is started

In February, in accordance with the Registration Certificate No. 221 issued by the Administration of Mendeleyevsk district and Mendeleyevsk, the plant was reorganized into the state-owned enterprise Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant.
1992

Renamed to GP Novomendeleyevsk Chemical Plant

Renaming to State Unitary Enterprise Tatazot.
2000

Renamed to GUP Tatazot

Renaming to Open Joint-Stock Company Tatazot.
2003

Renamed to OAO Tatazot

2004

Renamed to OOO Mendeleyevskazot

The enterprise started functioning as OOO Mendeleyevskazot. This period is marked as commencement of development in Russian and foreign markets.
Ammoni AO was established in June to produce fertilizers and nitrogen compounds.
2006

Ammoni AO is established

In May, during Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to Japan, a memorandum of intent was signed in the area of implementation of new complex construction project.
2009

Memorandum of intent to implement construction project

In November in Japan, in presence of the President of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. N. Minnikhanov, EPC contract was signed for implementation of Project between Ammoni OAO and Consortium including MHI, Sojitz Corporation, and China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd.
2010

EPC contract is signed

Construction of production complex was completed in 3rd quarter of 2015, and design capacity was achieved in 4th quarter.
2015

Plant retrofitting and construction is completed

2016
In February, Ammoni AO plant was officially launched in presence of the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. N. Minnikhanov.

Plant operation is officially started

On February 26, a millionth ton of urea was produced.
2017

First million tons of urea and ammonia is produced

On April 28, a millionth ton of ammonia was produced.
In July, Ammoni AO became a part of Azot KAO.
2020

Ammoni AO became a part of Azot KAO

In October, small-capacity production facility for production of AdBlue, diesel exhaust gas treatment agents, was put in operation.

AdBlue production is launched
